The Exchange-14

Hebrews 12:2 “Keep your eyes on [Jesus], who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed–that exhilarating finish in and with God–he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s [there], in the place of honor, right alongside God.”(MSG)
…From yesterday…
That was a massive jump and it set me thinking. I decided to do a little research and was not disappointed at my findings.
It is said that Ronaldo’s jump is higher than that of an average NBA basketball player, just one facet of an incredible athlete.
Scientists also found that one of his free-kicks accelerates four times faster than the Apollo 11 space rocket at blast off.
Ronaldo’s reactions sometimes when on the pitch are so quick they would circumnavigate the world over 31 hours faster than the quickest bullet train.
But then, those skills didn’t come easy! This athlete spends more time than many footballers on this planet in the gym training. He waits for hours practising his free-kicks when others have gone. He does extra practice on his own.
Those fits require special diet of protein to build a powerful thigh and upper body muscles. He had to take a lot of fish and egg. Special type of sugar and carbohydrates! Friend, you think 80 Million pounds is too much and you keep complaining. Can you live on a diet of fish and egg? Can you spend 12 hours practising the same thing? Ain’t you an unrepentant consumer of red meat and an addict to the latest TV soap opera?
Beloved, God is not mocked! Christ endured the cross because of the joy that was set before him; in your case you refuse and forsake the cross, yet want the joy?
Christ knew what he was doing while he was enduring the cross! God knew what He wanted when He sent His only begotten son and allowed him to die such a painful death!
