The Exchange-9
Hebrews 12:2 “Keep your eyes on [Jesus], who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed–that exhilarating finish in and with God–he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s [there], in the place of honor, right alongside God.”(MSG)
…From yesterday…
Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to GOOD WORKS:”
The Greek word for “good” here is translated to mean; excellent, distinguished, upright and honourable, whereas the Greek word for “works” here is translated to mean business, employment, something that any one is occupied with, products, anything accomplished by hand, art, industry, or mind!
The bible is saying here that we as believers should do excellent and distinguished business in our employment and professions. Let that sink in deep!
Come to think of it, Paul who probably spoke more about grace than any other Apostle was equally the most hardworking of them all! Hear him:
1 Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace [which was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
1 Corinthians 14:18 “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:”
Grace men work and do excellent jobs at that!
Paul was not a lazy man; he worked hard and laboured; he said he spoke in tongues more than they all. No wonder he had the kind of results he had.
Paul understood the law of exchange. This law proves that for every harvest we want in life, we must be ready to pay the equivalent price called seed!
Friend, have you ever sat down to evaluate the cost of your harvest or dream you’ve so much desired. What are you ready to give in exchange for your dreams?
