The Exchange-8

Hebrews 12:2 “Keep your eyes on [Jesus], who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed–that exhilarating finish in and with God–he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s [there], in the place of honor, right alongside God.”(MSG)
…From yesterday…
I know some folks will be thinking I am talking about the law here; far be it. Hear this:
Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:”
Ephesians 2:9 “Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Beloved, we are not saved by works but saved to work! Grace does not make us irresponsible Christians. Grace saved us to become responsible and part of responsibility is hard work! We must clearly understand the dividing line between working to be saved and working after salvation.
Working to be saved is talking about the law while working after salvation is grace! I hope I am not confusing your theology. Works, law and grace is not the subject matter in this piece but there is need to draw the line. I want you to know that as a believer you should be one of the hard working folks in your establishment. Believers are not lazy bones, laziness is anti-Chriatianity, never you forget that!
We as believers are enjoin to do good works. Hear this:
2 Timothy 3:17 “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all GOOD WORKS.”
Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to GOOD WORKS:”
The Greek word for “good” here is translated to mean; excellent, distinguished, upright and honourable. While the Greek word for “works” here is translated to mean business, employment, something that any one is occupied with, products, any thing accomplished by hand, art, industry, or mind!
To be continued…
