Breaking Free from Madness-11

Mark 5:4 “Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces neither could any man tame him.”
…From yesterday…
Mark 5:5 “And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.”
Let’s look at the second part of that scripture:
The bible says, this guy was “…crying, and cutting himself with stones.” What can we learn from here?
It means this madman was suffering from self-inflicted injuries and curses. He was causing himself pains and crying, but yet didn’t stop. He was deliberately harming and hurting himself.
Our madman here was a victim of his own bad decisions and wrong choices. Friend, has it ever occurred to you that some of the things you’re suffering from today were caused by you? Yes, you!
You kept making bad decisions and then wonder why things are the way they are in your life. You disobey every instruction in scriptures and yet keep complaining of stagnancy, pains, demotion, ill health and emotional breakdown.
Friend, a serious manifestation of madness is you cutting yourself, crying and yet cutting yourself even the more. For how long will you keep suffering from self-inflicted pains? I think it’s high time you stopped this madness!
Enough of malice, anger and unforgiveness, while yet wondering why your blood pressure is high! Going late to the office, dodging responsibilities at work and wondering why you’ve not been promoted. That’s cutting yourself with stones and yet crying. Beloved, this madness must stop!
As we begin to round up this meditation, let us consider how he finally got delivered from his madness:
Mark 5:6 “But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,”
