Breaking Free from Madness-9
Mark 5:4 “Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces neither could any man tame him.”
…From yesterday…
Jesus says that what we see as a mountain and which looks so big and difficult to move, he says when we “say” or talk to it, it moves. Interesting statement! The issue is, when we take charge of the problem or mountain spiritually, it gives way in the physical.
Trying to push, blast, bomb or break the mountain, or talking about the problem is like chaining the madman. Jesus said, speak to it and it will obey. What happens is that your speech moves the mountain spiritually and in no time it moves physically.
Friend, stop running helter-skelter because of that challenge; enough of using physical chains; take charge on your knees in prayer and watch the mountain collapse like a park of cards. Go spiritual on that issue!
How do we know his problems were spiritual in the first instance? Hear this:
Mark 5:2 “And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,”
The bible makes it categorically clear here that he had an unclean spirit. This unclean spirit’s manifestation is what eventually showed up as madness in the physical.
The word unclean in the Greek is the word “akathartos” meaning “impure in thoughts and impure morally”. It also means unclean thought and life. What are those things that are making your life impure thereby leading to madness?
Colossians 3:8 “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.”
Titus 3:3 “For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.”
