Helping Hand-10

Exodus 17:11 “It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning.”
Exodus 17:12 “But Moses’ hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him. He sat on it and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained steady until the sun went down.”
Exodus 17:13 “Joshua defeated Amalek and its army in battle.” (MSG)
…From yesterday…
Your Hur means white linen or purity. These are the folks that can always put you in check especially on the verge of success.
You need men inspired by the Holy Spirit to help “keep your head on your shoulders” and help you maintain your sanity. Success can be intoxicating and even lead a man astray; that is why you must always keep yourself in check with purity!
Let your cloth remain white!
As we begin to round up, I want you to look at your journey in life and if need be, go pick up your Aaron and Hur where you left them, they’re relevant to your destiny.
Moses was hugely successful because he had help at every junction of his life.
I discovered that few days down the line, Moses completely forgot this strategy that served him so well in war. He forgot about Aaron and Hur! He started travelling alone. He became a one-man-army!
He would have died prematurely but for the quick intervention of his father in law called Jethro.
Exodus 18:10 “And Jethro said, Blessed [be] the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.”
Exodus 18:17 “And Moses’ father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest [is] not good.”
Exodus 18:18 “Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that [is] with thee: for this thing [is] TOO HEAVY for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.”
