Helping Hand-2

Exodus 17:11 “It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning.”

Exodus 17:12 “But Moses’ hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him. He sat on it and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained steady until the sun went down.”

Exodus 17:13 “Joshua defeated Amalek and its army in battle.” (MSG)

…From yesterday…
He was a great warrior, no doubt; but lack of proper help led to his doom. His one man army soon fizzled out. He was fighting alone from the ground, not knowing he needed the “air” and “naval forces” support.
The air force talks about “prayers” while the navy (sea or water) talks about the Holy Spirit. As an army (on ground operations) he needed other men to help guard his sides and rear. No wonder the enemy eventually got the better of him so cheaply.
Friend, peradventure you’ve seen yourself as another Samson, a one-man-army; I want you to reconsider your stand if you really want to last the mile.
We all know God as the All Mighty, All Knowing and All Powerful who could afford to do all things by Himself, but yet chooses not to. He can for sure, but He didn’t; that’s why I laugh when I see men who have might and become deceived into thinking they can do it all alone. Jesus himself, God, came to earth and started his assignment by choosing twelve assistants!
Well, the world is yet to recover from the union of those thirteen, and never will! Now, I seem to understand why Jesus brought fishermen into his armed force, men skilled on water and sea, to offer “naval” support…Selah.
One is too small a number to multiply. Any number multiplied by one remains the same! The great men that have gone ahead of us all had help!
To be continued…
Love you BiG
