Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
…From yesterday…
Isaiah 31:4 “For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, [he] will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.”
It will interest you to know that the word “ROARING” here is the same Hebrew word “HAGAR” as used for meditate in our focal scripture.
Here, the bible talks about this roaring lion surrounded by “enemies” referred to here as “SHEPHERDS CALLED AGAINST HIM”.
However, the bible says he was not afraid of them, because the roaring was as a result of meditation!
Guess what happened next?
The Lord came down and fought for him! “…the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.”(Isaiah 31:4)
It doesn’t matter the number and strength of the opposition. In fact, it doesn’t matter if they have caged you in and surrounded you the way they did to this young lion. They think you’re young, small and inexperienced while they’re old and more experienced. Beloved, if you can only roar, victory is certain. Goliath thought he was old and more experienced until a young seventeen year old lion roared and brought down his head.
Friend, when you roar from a depth of revelation, you bring God into your situation. Keep roaring!
Another thing to do while meditating is to start asking questions from the Holy Spirit. He authored the scriptures and was the only one present when those events took place and He also inspired the men who spoke and wrote down the scriptures…
