This Book of the Law-4

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
…From yesterday…
I doubt if God ever spoke about courage to any other man in bible history the way he did to Joshua. It is only a scared man you give such exhortations several times! Can you imagine God telling you the same thing over and over again?
Repetition is iteration and you only do that to lay credence to what you’re saying; and you don’t stop until you’re sure the person has got the message.
Why was Joshua that scared? Joshua was scared for obvious reasons. Moses’ shoe was too big for him to step into! The miracles God performed through Moses were the very firsts in history! The things Moses did were very scary!
Moses singlehandedly terrified the “great” Pharaoh and Egypt. History has it that Egypt was the most developed nation on earth as at that time. They had the best and most sophisticated military might. They had a technology that was superior to that of the whole world combined together. Do you know that the Egyptian pyramid is still one of the Seven Wonders of the World?
There were no cranes in those days, yet they constructed those pyramids. Science is still studying those pyramids even in our days!
Yet a man called Moses walked into that country and released their slaves, the entire workforce of the nation!
He came across the Red Sea and the Red Sea parted and he took his people through on dry ground! Another first! In fact, nobody has attempted that since then.
Nothing scared Moses. They needed to fight a war; he simply asked Joshua to be the commanding officer in battle while he withdrew to the top of the mountain.
To be continued…
