The Audit-5

Luke 16:1 “And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.”
Luke 16:2 “And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.”
Luke 16:2 “So he called him in and said, ‘What’s this I hear about you? You’re fired. And I want a complete audit of your books.'”(MSG)
…From yesterday…
To do a self-audit, Paul told Timothy as well as us to consider how we have done in the following areas;
OUR WORD STUDY AND MEDITATION: How much time did you give to the word this year? If we are to draw a chart of your personal bible study and prayer times, will you be impressed?
CHARITY AND LOVE: How did you do here? What notable thing can you point to that you did for another without making demands? How many people did you share the love of God with? What did you give away sacrificially because of the love of God? How did you handle offences and wrongs done you in 2015? Who are you keeping malice with? What about that your neighbour? Did you give him/her the stuff they asked you for even though you had surplus?
SPIRIT: How often did you yield to the Holy Spirit this year? Were you running your life on your intellect, technical know-how and wisdom? How often did you grieve the Holy Spirit? I hope you’re still reading?
FAITH: How often did you exercise your faith? What and what did you pray and believe God for, and waited till you saw the physical manifestation? Are your faith muscles stronger or weaker? Did you trust your salary more than God’s provisions?
PURITY: What has the words “right-living” and “holiness” meant to you in 2015? What was your disposition towards sin? Did you think it didn’t matter?
To be continued…
Love you BiG
