Count your blessings-1

Psalms 103:2 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”
Psalms 103:2 “O my soul, bless GOD, don’t forget a single blessing!”(MSG)
Psalms 21:6 “You pile blessings on him; you make him glad when you smile.”(MSG)
Psalms 105:1 “Hallelujah! Thank GOD! Pray to him by name! Tell everyone you meet what he has done!”(MSG)
My friend, I want you to understand, truly understand how blessed you are this morning. I came across a statistics recently by Jeffey Smead and just felt I should share it with every Lift reader.
If you don’t understand or know certain facts you will take a lot of things for granted. I guess all that will change after reading the following:
1. If you woke up today with more health than illness, you are more blessed than tens of thousands of people who will not survive the week. Several are sick to the point of death and worse still medical science have given up on them!
2. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world. Try and imagine what 20 milllion people in a large hall will look like. Then imagine being ahead of them!
3. If you attend a church service without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world. Can you beat that? I guess you’re probably getting dressed for church as against three billion who can’t dare it!
4. If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. I’m sure by now you will stop calling yourself the masses or the poor. You’re richer than about 5 billion people! Who says you’re not blessed? Who says you’re not wealthy?
To be continued…
Love you BiG
