Jonah Syndrome-5

Jonah 1:1 “Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,”
Jonah 1:2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”
Jonah 1:3 “But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.”
…From yesterday…
But then, how do we handle such men or such scenarios?
We started this meditation by defining the Jonahs as men God has assigned to help us fulfil divine assignments or are holding unto what belongs to us but have refused to release it.
We also established that we need men to fulfill our assignment as no man succeeds alone. Let us use Jesus’ template.
When Jesus needed men to come into his life to fulfill a divine mandate, he simply prayed! The truth is you might not know where your Jonah is and sometimes your Jonah might not even know he has what you need. So what is the practical thing to do?
Pray to the Lord God of heaven who gave you your assignment and has commissioned the men that it will take to fulfill it.
Luke 6:12 “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.”
Luke 6:13 “And when it was day, he called [unto him] his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;”
When Jesus needed his men to show up, he prayed all night! He employed the wisdom, intelligence and direction of heaven. When you call upon God your Jonahs must show up!
God knows who they are and where they are; he can always order them to you, even if they don’t want to! All you need do is ask!
