Jonah 1:1 “Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,”
Jonah 1:2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”
Jonah 1:3 “But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.”

The world is full of them. Note that in this case Jonah was a prophet!
Do you know we have Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers like that? Pastors who will refuse to pray for church members, but even sad because his members are getting blessed. He will want to enter into competition of clothes, cars, houses, etc. with his members! How sad!
These are pastors who wish all the goodies, all “the blessings” come to only them! They exist and are living among us. I hope you aren’t attending such a church. If you’re, run for your dear life.
Well, before you think I am preaching heresy let me show you another “Pastor Jonah” in the bible.
Luke 13:10 “He was teaching in one of the meeting places on the Sabbath.”
Luke 13:11 “There was a woman present, so twisted and bent over with arthritis that she couldn’t even look up. She had been afflicted with this for eighteen years.”
Luke 13:12 “When Jesus saw her, he called her over. “Woman, you’re free!””
Luke 13:13 “He laid hands on her and suddenly she was standing straight and tall, giving glory to God.”
Luke 13:14 “The meeting-place president, furious because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the congregation, “Six days have been defined as work days. Come on one of the six if you want to be healed, but not on the seventh, the Sabbath.”” (MSG)
This is a funny scenario…
