Life Lessons from Driving-13
Mark 4:35 “And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.”
Mark 5:1 “And they came over unto the other side of the sea…”
…From yesterday…
Our Bible is the instruction manual for life. It already contains the instructions needed for the trip. God said in the above verses that we should keep them where we will never forget them, and not just that also teach it to our children.
It rounded it up in Deuteronomy 11:21 by saying, “That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children…” The blessing of Long Life is tied to adherence to instructions. Beloved, you will live long and travel accident-free in life in Jesus name, amen.
On a road trip as well as on the journey of life, something that we must also hold dear is what I call BEING CAREFUL AND STAYING ALERT!
In this category there are quite a number of things to consider but first and foremost the condition of your car must be excellent! You check your tires; service the engine and ask for your mechanic’s opinion of things you don’t understand.
In the same vein, you must do same on the journey of life. For most people, our vehicle inspection check includes the state of our body, our business, our dreams and visions.
We need to be sure we treat our bodies well because it is the principal vehicle of our transportation here on earth. Friend, are you having enough rest? Do you eat good and well balanced diet? Do you abstain from sin? How about the condition of your heart?
What goes into your mind and heart? Is it junk or healthy diet? Some waste their days on frivolous TV programmes and things that do not edify. Some don’t attend fellowship regularly, but still think all is well.
Beloved, the reason we refer to going for fellowship as going “to service” is simply because that is where you get “serviced”.
To be continued…
