Life Lessons from Driving-9

Mark 4:35 “And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.”
Mark 5:1 “And they came over unto the other side of the sea…”
…From yesterday…
Mark 4:41 “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
Jesus then went ahead and showed them other strategies for navigating a bad weather, apart from rest and practicing God’s presence.
Jesus stood up and rebuked the wind; he showed them the principle of declaring the word of God, speaking against the contrary situation.
Then he also showed them the principle of faith and fearlessness! Those are key tools in navigating a bad weather on the journey of life! When fear speaks and threatens you, let your faith answer!
Another very important thing on the journey of life is to know and understand how to read the road signs. You must know how to decipher and interpret road symbols.
At different points on the road there are sign posts; same goes for the journey of life. When you travel do you take note of signposts? I discover most people don’t.
But the truth is before we come across a major occurrence on the road, there are usually warning signs. For example, as you approach a sharp bend you will observe a warning symbol placed conspicuously before the bend; some may even tell you the distance to the bend. You will also notice same as you approach a bridge.
Your ability to correctly interpret these symbols will go a long way in helping you.
While travelling with my family, I noticed a signpost ahead, but somehow I ignored it. I saw it quite alright, but didn’t care to read it. Few meters down the line, we suddenly came across a speed breaker or bump. I immediately applied the brake, but, alas, it was too late.
To be continued…
