Life Lessons from Driving-8

Mark 4:35 “And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.”
Mark 5:1 “And they came over unto the other side of the sea…”
…From yesterday…
Jesus took a position of rest! He knew the very first requirement for navigating a bad weather is rest!
Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalms 46:11 “The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.”
Many people run into bad weather and make matters worse by becoming fearful, giving the devil room to operate. Jesus knows you’ve got to rest and be still first, then secondly know and become conscious of the presence of God!
David said, “The LORD of hosts [is] with us…”. I want you to know it is not just a prayer statement or something to confess; it is a divine truth and reality! Don’t just chant it and pray it. Believe it and live in the reality of it.
That fateful morning, the disciples probably read that Psalm 46 in their homes before the trip, but it was not real to them. Jesus demonstrated it is a divine reality by living in it and showing them in practical terms!
It is a mentality and a consciousness you must develop as a believer. Always know that you’re not alone. You carry a divine presence with you everywhere you go. Believe it and confess it daily, till it becomes your reality!
Mark 4:39 “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
Mark 4:40 “And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”
Mark 4:41 “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
To be continued…
