Life Lessons from Driving-2

Mark 4:35 “And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.”

Mark 5:1 “And they came over unto the other side of the sea…”

…From yesterday…
What do I mean by this? Knowing how to drive simply means mastering yourself!
It means taking up responsibility for your life. This means taking the steering wheel of your life!
Others, people, situations and circumstances may have brought you to where you are now, no doubt that means they have been driving you. Friend, it’s time to take the steering wheel.
How your life will turn out is tied to how you decide to drive yourself, not how others are driving you. The outcome of your life is your call, not theirs. The bible says that each of us will give account of our activities here on earth, not even your pastor or bishop, boss, father or mother will be permitted to speak for you.
Romans 14:12 “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
If each of us will give account, it only seems right to take over the reins of our lives.
Hear this:
1 Chronicles 4:9 “And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying Because I bare him with sorrow.”
Jabez’s case is a very interesting one. He had a “wonderful driver” in his mum. This woman drove his destiny and everything went terribly bad in his life. She named him sorrow! But one day, the young man decided he had had enough and he took over the steering wheel.
1 Chronicles 4:10 “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested”
Jabez called on God and the course of his life changed.
To be continued…
