The Principle of Change-14

1Samuel 10:6 “And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.”
1Samuel 10:10 “And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.”
1Samuel 10:13 “And when he had made an end of prophesying he came to the high place.”
Mark 1:15 “And saying The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand repent ye and believe the gospel.”
…From yesterday…
Numbers 20:11 “And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts [also].”
God gave Moses a specific instruction. He told him there is now a change of strategy. Instead of striking the rock, speak to it. Method has changed, so Moses, change accordingly.
But guess what, Moses refused to change and he truncated his destiny; he lost the Promised Land! Moses was used to the old way of doing things. Striking the rock brings water, why speak to it? He couldn’t embrace change, he didn’t really believe speaking to the rock would bring water. He was used to using the rod in his hand, he couldn’t discern that the rod has moved from the hand to the mouth! We must learn to discern the move of God!
In the early 1900s, when the car was just invented. The people constructing wheels and horse carriages were laughing at the engineers working on the automobile. They said the automobile would soon fade away.
They were sure horse carriages would forever be in vogue and that cars would soon disappear. Who would enter a machine? That was their watch word. They laughed car manufacturers to scorn. Several business men invested their life savings in horse carriages but we know who is laughing now!!
