The Principle of Change-12
1Samuel 10:6 “And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.”
1Samuel 10:10 “And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.”
1Samuel 10:13 “And when he had made an end of prophesying he came to the high place.”
Mark 1:15 “And saying The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand repent ye and believe the gospel.”
…From yesterday…
Jesus said, as powerful as the word of God is, it can be rendered null and void by tradition! That’s a serious one. It simply means there are things that can prevent the move of God in the life of a man, but principal among them is tradition.
Beloved, what tradition are you holding unto? What is limiting God in your life? I have seen people worshipping idols because one dead ancestor left instructions that a stone or tree must be worshipped at certain times of the year.
These folks have many complications in their lives and still go to church for prayers and fasting! It doesn’t work that way, there must be a total change of mind. Don’t let traditions limit you. Subject every tradition to the word. If it is against the word of God, it will limit God in your life!
Now, what happens when we refuse to embrace change?
A number of things can happen when we refuse to change. The first one I want to discuss is what I call Stagnancy. Hear this:
Deuteronomy 2:3 “Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.”
The word “turn” here is also translated change! The children of Israel came to a point in their journey where they could no longer make progress. They became stagnant, moving around in circles.
To be continued…
