The Principle of Change-10
1Samuel 10:6 “And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.”
1Samuel 10:10 “And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.”
1Samuel 10:13 “And when he had made an end of prophesying he came to the high place.”
Mark 1:15 “And saying The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand repent ye and believe the gospel.”
…From yesterday…
The strange thing is that he never ran into anybody or over anybody. He never hit anybody or anything. Guess why?
Directly in front of that big beautiful car, THERE WERE TWO HORSES – PULLING IT! You know why? He couldn’t undergo the “stress” of learning how to drive!
Many people have great potentials but are limited in achievement because they would not change just like our old Indian friend. You can imagine the speed and strength available to him via the engine in the car compared to the strength and capacity of the horses.
He could have easily travelled further by placing a demand on the engine but he chose to limit himself by pulling the car by two horses! How have you been limiting yourself?
Another reason men choose not to change is what I call tradition, which means remaining or staying with the status quo. Hear this:
Mark 7:1 ¶ “Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.”
Mark 7:2 “And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say with unwashen, hands, they found fault”
Mark 7:3 “For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, HOLDING the TRADITION of the ELDERS.”
To be continued…
