The Principle of Change-8

1Samuel 10:6 “And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.”
1Samuel 10:10 “And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.”
1Samuel 10:13 “And when he had made an end of prophesying he came to the high place.”
Mark 1:15 “And saying The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand repent ye and believe the gospel.”
…From yesterday…
The devil doesn’t want us to enjoy the new things God is bringing our way. New opportunities, new jobs, breakthroughs, new healthy habits, full restoration of health, landmark achievements, new houses, etc. He knows once we are stuck with the old; God will not bring the new.
Those are the antics of the enemy; make up your mind to change!
Now, let’s leave the devil out of it and consider two reasons men choose not to embrace change.
Men choose not to embrace change because change is not easy, it is usually discomforting! Change can be stressful.
Remember the Israelites; they were asked to change and leave Egypt in order to embrace Canaan, the Promised Land but the stress of the journey wearied many of them out. They couldn’t cope with the concept of change. They fought the idea mentally and physically. They complained and murmured and most perished. They simply couldn’t bear the “pain” of change.
We also see the case of Joseph, who also had to change in order for him to arrive the throne. He had a different understanding, however,  he bore the pains and discomfort and eventually arrived at his glorious destiny.
Friend, the stress is part of the process of change and will not last forever. It is temporal,
