The Principle of Change-5

1Samuel 10:6 “And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.”
1Samuel 10:10 “And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.”
1Samuel 10:13 “And when he had made an end of prophesying he came to the high place.”
…From yesterday…
In actual fact, when a pastor first introduced singing of the hymn in his church, 22 members left, including his trusted deacons and elders.
He was referred to as worldly and ungodly! It took the pastor about 22 years before some people accepted to sing hymns in the church. Even at that churches were broken down into two, namely the singing church and the non-singing church. Parents even prevented their children from marrying across the two churches! It was that bad. I think when next they sing hymns in your church, you should thank God for the men who stood their ground against all odds to make sure we have “singing churches”.
What is change? Change is defined as the process of becoming different!
Now, the question is, why does the devil always prevent men from changing? There are several reasons; but let’s discuss one or two in this meditation.
1. God designed the process of change. God knows that nothing good will ever emerge if it does not undergo change. The devil knows this for a fact and as a result will do anything possible to prevent men from changing. If he can keep men at the same position, change becomes almost impossible. Let’s take a look at the following scriptures:
Matthew 3:2 “And saying Repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”
Matthew 4:17 “From that time Jesus began to preach and to say Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”
