1Samuel 10:6 “And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.”
1Samuel 10:10 “And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.”
1Samuel 10:13 “And when he had made an end of prophesying he came to the high place.”
Permit me to share a story I heard from Zig Ziglar. It’s the story about a woman in Alabama who was bitter about her job and also angry with her co-workers. He advised her to write down whatever positives she could think of about her job, “the solid paycheck, the benefits, the vacation time” and then stare into the mirror and say how much she loved her job and her co-workers. Six weeks later, he ran into her again.
“I’m doing wonderfully well,” she told him with a bright smile, adding, “You cannot believe how much those people down there have changed!”
A major secret to getting what you want is change! Whatever cannot change will not grow! Anyone who has refused to change since birth, would’ve definitely become a serious concern both to the parents and the society at large.
Charles Darwin, the Naturalist and Geologist made a profound statement. He said, “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive and adaptable to change.”
A wise man also said, “If you cannot change your mind you cannot change anything”, how true! The bible talking about Jesus said:
Luke 2:40 “And the child grew and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.”
The whole concept of growth revolves around change. The only way you know a child is growing is by the changes you observe.
