Genesis 27:5 “Rebekah was eavesdropping as Isaac spoke to his son Esau. As soon as Esau had gone off to the country to hunt game for his father,”
Genesis 27:6 “Rebekah spoke to her son Jacob. “I just overheard your father talking with your brother, Esau. He said,”
Genesis 27:7 ‘Bring me some game and fix me a hearty meal so that I can eat and bless you with GOD’s blessing before I die.’
Genesis 27:8 “Now, my son, listen to me. Do what I tell you.”

We were told from “Sunday school” that Jacob cheated his brother, but that was not the whole truth. The better truth should be that Jacob was an entrepreneur!
Genesis 25:30 “And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom.”
Genesis 25:31 “And Jacob said, SELL me this day thy birthright.”
Jacob saw an opportunity to make a trade and he took it! That’s an entrepreneurial mind set! That was the same mind set David had when he killed Goliath!
Now, I know that didn’t go down well with your “religious mind” but I didn’t put it in the bible, the Holy Spirit did!
Hear this:
1 Samuel 17:26 “And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What SHALL BE DONE to the MAN that KILLETH this PHILISTINE, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who [is] this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
1 Samuel 17:27 “And the people answered him after this manner, saying, SO shall it be DONE to the MAN that KILLETH HIM.”
1 Samuel 17:26 “David, who was talking to the men standing around him, asked, “What’s in it for the man who kills that Philistine and gets rid of this ugly blot on Israel’s honor? Who does he think he is, anyway, this uncircumcised Philistine, taunting the armies of God-Alive?””(MSG)
