Water to Wine-9
John 2:8 “And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.”
John 2:9 “When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,”
John 2:10 “And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.”
…From yesterday…
When we learn to “hands-off” and allow Him, we will always have superior wine and in abundance too. What heaven can give you far outweighs what you can ever achieve with your strength. Learn to lean on him!
Another thing worthy of note is that Jesus didn’t tell the servants to taste it. He told them to serve it, by giving it directly to the master or chairman of the ceremony.
John 2:8 “And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast…”
What can we learn from here?
You don’t need to feel or taste it to act, just act it! That is the law of faith. Faith doesn’t doubt, debate or wait to feel the word, it simply believes and obeys! Once God says it, just believe and act.
Another lesson is in verse 10; we always think we can do it on our own. We struggle, and there might be result but not the fulfilling one. But it is always “sweeter” when we learn to lean on and embrace God’s help by the Holy Spirit and the word.
I also want you to know that no matter how bitter or rough the situation is at the beginning or even at present, it will always get better when God steps in.
God said in Ecc. 7:8 that, “Endings are better than beginnings…”(MSG). It doesn’t matter what you have seen or yet to see in 2015, this year can still be your best year yet. Don’t give up; there is light at the end of the tunnel, hold on to God!
To be continued…
