John 2:7 “Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.”

Also note that Jesus told them not just to add the word to their labour, He said they should let it fill to the brim and overflow. The water did not turn to wine until it got filled to the brim.
Beloved, if things ain’t working for you the way you want, I’ll advise you to check your word intake. That situation will not turn around until you add the water (word) and fill it to the brim.
All it takes for our labour to produce the required result is the addition of the word. Until it fills to the brim, we will always struggle.
Wine also represents the Holy Spirit and the word of God. When the God factor comes upon your labour, sweet wine is always the result.
From this story we also clearly see law versus grace. Man laboured under the law and got inferior wine. But when grace came, the same man or pot produced superior wine.
The best man could achieve on his own was called filthy rags when presented before God.
Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our RIGHTEOUSNESS are as FILTHY RAGS…”
Can you think of what it takes to brood wine? A lot of processes are involved. Man will need to go to the farm to harvest grape, crush it to extract the juice. Allow it to ferment for some days etc. but at the end of the day the wine produced was inferior; not only that, it got finished.
But guess what? Jesus showed them a different approach. Without that tedious process, Jesus gave them superior wine. He came not just to give us life but to give us life in abundance!
When we learn to “hands-off” and allow Him, we will always have superior wine and in abundance too. What heaven can give you far outweighs what you can ever achieve with your strength. Learn to lean on him!
