Little children-2

Mark 10:13 “And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.”
Mark 10:14 “But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”
…From yesterday…
Beloved, since Jesus said we can’t enter into the kingdom of God without them, I think we should take a look at some of them.
Before that however, let me point us to something interesting in our opening scripture. Hear this:
Mark 10:13 “And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.”
There are some group of guys here that we must thank, we must thank them because they “forced” Jesus to give us this lesson. These guys are his disciples!
When children were brought to Jesus, his disciples stood up and fenced off both the parents and children! I’m sure number one among the “bouncers” was Peter, probably James and John. It’s my personal opinion though. I came to that conclusion because these three were the closest to Jesus out of the twelve.
But then, they didnt know what hit them when Jesus reponded to their reaction.
So, who were those guys before Jesus gave us the lesson.
They were the know-it-all. The ones that were the “closest to God”, the ones that tell you to go through them before you can get to God! The ones that say God, our Father talks only to them and they relay it to you. The ones that say you’re too dirty and sinful to hear God.
Beloved, I am talking about those legalistic folks. The ones that give you rules, conditions and regulations; they don’t and can’t meet before God can talk to you. When you tell such folks God spoke to you they get angry.
They tell you, you’re too young to hear God…To be continued…
