Little children-1

Mark 10:13 “And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.”
Mark 10:14 “But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”
Mark 10:15 “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.”
Matthew 18:3 “And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all].” (AMP)
One insult most people will never take lightly is being called childish! I don’t like it too, but hey, Jesus said you’ve got to learn to get “childish” and develop some child like traits because the kingdom of God belong to children!!
In fact, he didn’t stop there, he went further and said, “… Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” (Mark 10:15). That’s a serious issue and a very heavy statement by none other than Jesus Christ himself!
Well, he’s not saying start “acting chidish literally”, what he said to them and is still saying to you and I today is this: There are some traits in children which of course as children we also exhibit but have long dropped, he’s saying go relearn them or pick them up again!
Jesus is saying the reason why you naturally possessed those traits as little children is that God knows you’ll need them in life before you can enter His kingdom! You were born with those fantastic characters but you dropped them as you “matured”.
Beloved, since Jesus said we can’t enter into the kingdom of God without them, I think we should take a look at some of them.
To be continued…
