Genesis 29:26 “And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.”
Genesis 29:27 “Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.”
Genesis 29:28 “And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.”

Very interesting word, compel means to force, constrain, overpower or coerce. Beloved, one thing that is difficult to do after a disappointment is to muster courage to get back to work!
I am sure you understand what I am saying. How do I get my body to work on the same thing again after a major setback or disappointment? Is it possible?
Laban told Jacob, force yourself to do another 7 years labour if you want Rachel. You must be ready to force and coerce yourself to get back to work.
You must be ready to “overpower” the force of disappointment and get on with your life. You must be ready to pick up the courage to try again. Hear Apostle Paul:
1 Corinthians 9:26 “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so FIGHT I, not as one that beateth the air:”
1 Corinthians 9:27 “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection…”
Paul said we should fight for our dream. Become a dogged fighter and keep your body under and into subjection.
If you want Rachel, fight for her!
As we draw the curtain on this meditation, never let go of the lessons. Disappointment is one thing you can never outgrow. Even we as humans disappoint God, how much less man.
