I still want Rachel-2

Genesis 29:26 “And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.”
Genesis 29:27 “Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.”
Genesis 29:28 “And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.”
…From yesterday…
The bible says in Gen. 29:28, “And Jacob did so…” He calmed down, took correction and started again.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Learn to be still and let God step in. God doesn’t dwell in a quarrelsome and chaotic environment. Be calm and let God! He knows how to take over the battle, but He will not until you stay calm.
Secondly, take careful note of the causes of the disappointment. In other words, learn the lessons. We can see from the story that Jacob had learnt a great deal. He had become a man of details.
He didn’t dictate the terms or the new dowry; he kept quiet and listened to the instructions on how to get Rachel. He understood it and then went to work. Friend, identify your mistakes and take corrections.
I discovered that the way he received Rachel was different. Let’s take a look.
Genesis 29:23 “And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.”
Genesis 29:24 “And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid [for] an handmaid.”
I love the details and the way the Holy Spirit brings us lessons in the bible.
If you look at the way he married Leah, we can see a significant approach in the way he married Rachel.
He married Leah in the evening, connoting “shady deals” as explained earlier; he then went in to her immediately…
Let’s see how he married Rachel…
To be continued…
Love you BiG
