Dreaming of Rachel, Waking Up with Leah-11

Genesis 29:25 “But when Jacob woke up in the morning—it was Leah! “What have you done to me?” Jacob raged at Laban. “I worked seven years for Rachel! Why have you tricked me?” (NLT)
…From yesterday…
Psalms 56:11 “In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.”
No man can give you Leah for Rachel when you trust in God!
Friend, put absolute trust in God; don’t create alternatives to Him. He is the only one who will not fail, and by the way, He doesn’t have the ability to change or evolve, He remains constant in meeting needs. Trust Him absolutely.
To wrap up our meditation on causes of disappointments, let me make mention of this other point. It is what I call the “devil’s factor”.
Like we once discussed, whatever God is interested in automatically catches the devil’s attention as well. Once God gives us a dream and we set about fulfilling it, the devil brings up obstacles to slow us down or to stop us out rightly.
The devil knows that whatever God is doing will have a great impact few years down the line, so he goes all out to stop it when it is still fresh and tender.
If Jacob had given up on getting Rachel after being given Leah, a few years down the line, Joseph wouldn’t have been born and the famine would still have come but there would have been no Joseph to preserve the nation of Israel! Hear this:
Matthew 13:25 “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”
Matthew 13:26 “But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.”
Matthew 13:27 “So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?”
Matthew 13:28 “He said unto them, An enemy hath done this…”
