Luke 15:29 “The son said, ‘Look how many years I’ve stayed here serving you, never giving you one moment of grief, but have you ever thrown a party for me and my friends?” (MSG)
Jonathan did good to David, it was Mephibosheth that collected the harvest. God sure knows how to bring your harvest.
There are seeds you’ve sown that are meant for your  grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don’t be myopic.
If you’re favoured by a man, it is not just about him, it is all about God that laid it in His heart.
Quit seeing men as your source. God alone is!
This important lesson can also be learnt from the story of the prodigal son. The Father made a very remarkable statement that showed the kind of fatherly heart He possessed
Luke 15:31 “And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.”
Luke 15:31 “His father said, ‘Son, you don’t understand. You’re with me all the time, and everything that is mine is yours” (MSG)
Here, God represented by the Father in this story, told the elder son, “…all that I have is thine” (Luke 15:31). Meaning I have a bigger compensation plan for you. Take your eyes off the little reward you see your kid brother enjoying. You own much more than you’re thinking you have.
Think big; get to know that I am the Lord of the harvest, the way I will reward you cannot be compared to anything else. I own it all and as long as you’re with me, everything that is mine is yours! Look at what I can give, not what any man has or can give.
As for men, they “…shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,” (2 Timothy 3:2)
Certain “characters” don’t exist alone, they move around in “gangs” and you should be mindful of this. Unthankfulness goes hand in hand with pride, boasting and disobedience.
…To be continued
