John 3:31 “The One who comes from above is head and shoulders over other messengers from God. The earthborn is earthbound and speaks earth language; the heavenborn is in a league of his own.”(MSG)
So, how should you respond and take the “rat of hatred” higher?
You take it higher by responding with love! The realm of love is a realm above the world! The “hatred rat” can’t survive there!
They threw abuses at you, and you clench your fist, ready to fight, I pray you don’t lose a tooth, rather, take them higher by giving them a smile and ignoring it as a none issue. The “rats” don’t understand that.
They hurt you, back bite you and you’re looking for opportunity to hurt them back, that’s the response they’re waiting for, take them higher by greeting them first and doing good to them!
The devil throws unbelieve at you, giving you a negative doctor’s report, what they do in the world is to respond with tears. The man from above takes them high to the realm of faith! That is the region where nothing is impossible! (Matt.17:20, Luke 1:37)
This was why the earthly doctors of the law never did get to understand Jesus! Oh, how I love Jesus and his approach to issues.
He was once confronted with a scarcity problem on earth. He had about four thousand hungry people around him. Jesus, rather than speaking earthly, took the rat of scarcity higher.
Mark 8:6 “And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and GAVE THANKS, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.”
He took the rat to the realm of praise, scarcity don’t survive there!
Friend, you’ve got to learn the principles of above thinking, you’re in the world but not of the world, you must not subject yourself to the dictate of the world.
You’re heavenborn and therefore in a different league, never you forget that!
