John 3:31 “He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.”
John 3:31 “The One who comes from above is head and shoulders over other messengers from God. The earthborn is earthbound and speaks earth language; the heavenborn is in a league of his own.”(MSG)
John 8:23 “And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.”
Marrying this scripture with our focal scripture, we realise something powerful from these statements of Christ.
We can see Christ’s secret to winning every battle against the devil and his cohorts, either spiritual or physical.
The truth is we live in the world but don’t operate with the modus operandi of the world. Our activity and system is from above. When you’re attacked and you decide to fight here, you will lose. When the things and people of the world come at you, don’t dare fight them “here in the world” you’ll be messed up.
As my father in the Lord will always say, “don’t fight away match with the devil, bring him home and deal ruthlessly with him!”
The devil and his agents are familiar with the world terrain and they can easily floor you. You’re from above and should be familiar with the operations of your own terrain.
So, when the devil comes calling in whatever form don’t respond here. Take him higher, then higher and higher! He can’t survive at that height, because he belongs below.
I guess the question you’ll want to ask is how do I do that?
Let’s take some examples, the world throws hatred and envy at you, and you respond with malice. That is called fighting “in the world” and with the weapons of the world! You will be flogged, battered and might likely get injured.
So, how should you respond and take the “rat of hatred” higher?
