Lamentations 3:25 “The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”
Psalms 73:1 “Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.”
Jeremiah 31:14 “And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be SATISFIED WITH MY GOODNESS, saith the LORD”
His goodness also means to be healthy. That you’ve been in good health since the beginning of the year is all about Him. You hear people say, they have not been to the hospital since the beginning of the year and yet they feel God has not been good to them! What an irony and lack of understanding.
His goodness also makes us valid. This means, it makes us acceptable as true or genuine and sufficient for the purpose. That you’ve not been sacked from that office is because they still consider you valid and fit, I am glad to let you know it’s all about Him.
Help is also another meaning or derivative of the word good. Indeed we have all enjoyed His help. Hear this:
Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a VERY PRESENT HELP in trouble.”
The goodness of God is not just “God helping us”, it means God giving us a “very PRESENT and TIMELY help”!
What does it mean to help somebody?
To help means to make it easier or possible for somebody to do something that he cannot do naturally all by himself. It means to provide somebody with advice, directions, or other information that guides him and simplify his efforts. If you claim you’ve not enjoyed this at one time or the other, you’re simply not been sincere.
To help also means to bring about an improvement in something unpleasant, unbearable, or unfortunate! We were all at a time unpleasant, unbearable and unfortunate, living in sin and fit for hell, BUT, His goodness changed the status quo. We are now qualified, redeemed and fit!
What a GOOD GOD we serve!
