Lamentations 3:25 “The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”
Psalms 73:1 “Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.”
Psalms 107:8 “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”
I want to specially welcome you to the great month of June 2015, God has been good to us. He has brought us this far and He deserves all the praise for His goodness!
I sat down to think back on the goodness of the Lord and I kept asking myself a question. What does it mean when we say God is good or when we talk about the goodness of the Lord?
I realized I need to fully comprehend the meaning of this statement, so I decided to give it more thought. Permit me to share some of my discoveries with you.
The word “good” and “goodness” as used in our focal scriptures has several interpretations which gives us better understanding.
The first interpretation I will like to share with you is this, “of a high quality or standard”. God is a good God simply means God is of the highest quality or standard.
Friend, the only thing God can give to you is high quality in every area of your life. He gives you a high quality life, health, wisdom, days and months.
In case what you’re getting in any area of your life is not of high quality, then demand for it in prayers. I want you to have an understanding that you deserve the best quality available.
Your health should be of high quality, your life etc. Anything lower than that is not what you deserve. The goodness of God is what brings and has brought everything of high quality into your life!
Another meaning of goodness is “producing result”. This talks about our ability to always produce excellent results.
