Yes you can-3

2 Samuel 5:6 “David and his men immediately set out for Jerusalem to take on the Jebusites, who lived in that country. But they said, “You might as well go home! Even the blind and the lame could keep you out. You can’t get in here!” They had convinced themselves that David couldn’t break through.”
2 Samuel 5:7 “But David went right ahead and captured the fortress of Zion, known ever since as the City of David.”(MSG)
When you’re about to set out to do the impossible, several voices will emerge. Some will “genuinely discourage you out of concern” while others out of envy.
Different voices will be flying but the question you need to ask is, What has God said and what is He saying? Once you can settle that, whatever men say at that junction becomes irrelevant or better still, use them as motivation, like my brother will always say.
Just one voice matters, His Voice!
David knew what God said and what was written. He said, “…our fathers have told us…”(Psalm 44:1). They didn’t have a bible then, but we do! This is what he was told:
Gen. 15:18 “In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:”
Gen. 15:21 “And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”
David knew God had given the land to his fathers as an inheritance. Men talking and trying to discourage him was inconsequential.
Friend, once you know the mind of God concerning the matter, your own mind will be at rest and you’ll be able to take the challenge head-on.
I want you to know your impossibilities can become your testimonies. You can turn it around and conquer against all odds!
What do you know about the situation confronting you? Do you know what was written?
So, what will it be? Let history remain, or you rewrite it? It’s your call.
To be continued…
Love you BiG
