Habakkuk 3:19 “The LORD God [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ [feet], and he will make me to walk upon mine high places…”
Habakkuk 3:19 “The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights…”(NLT)
Friend, the devil sure has alternatives but they always come at a terrible cost! We must not be ignorant of his devices!
Perhaps the devil has been dancing some carrots before you, such as; why wait till end of the month to be paid, just change that figure. Nobody is here, just sleep with the man and get the contract or the grades. Just steal the money, nobody will know. Consider doing that money ritual. Just join that cult, they’re harmless…Hmmmmm…deadly alternatives! Beloved beware!!
Back to God and Joseph. God had to put Joseph through some hoove hardening process that was not easy. Becoming a slave is one of the most humbling experiences a man can have and he had to do it. A slave serves and works hard. A leader serves and equally work hard!
I’m sure you can see the similarity. Don’t mind those funny leaders you know, who want to be served instead of serving, they are following an anti-God pattern, don’t follow them!
Joseph that was used to being served and lazing around at home needed to know the virtue of working hard. He learnt it!
A good leader need to know how to talk with grace and encourage others, Joseph the arrogant speaker had to give way to Joseph the mountain top man that speaks with humility, grace, encouragement, respect and wisdom! (Gen.40:7 & Gen.41:16)
Genesis 41:16 “Joseph answered, “Not I, but God. God will set Pharaoh’s mind at ease.” (MSG)
Genesis 41:33 “So: Pharaoh needs to look for a wise and experienced man and put him in charge of the country.”(MSG)
This is Joseph the mountain top man talking!…To be continued
