Habakkuk 3:19 “The LORD God [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ [feet], and he will make me to walk upon mine high places…”
Habakkuk 3:19 “The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights…”(NLT)
Does that look like a picture of you?
I’m sure you can see yourself in this story. God has shown you your mountain top: The president of a country, the owner of a big conglomerate, a proprietor, a multi-millionaire, an expert doctor and consultant, a governor, an effective preacher of the word, a world acclaimed evangelist, a renowned musician, a much sort after poet etc.
I don’t know what your own mountain top is. The truth is, it won’t take God anything to get you there but can you allow Him “change or transform your feet?” “Are you ready to have hard hooves?” I guess that is the one million dollar question!
I must also let you know that the devil will not fold his hands, he will offer alternate routes to your mountain top. He will ask you why go through the stress and hoove making of God. He’ll tell you to climb his back and let him carry you straight to the top!
He will give you more “attractive and juicy” alternatives. Hear this:
Matthew 4:8 “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;”
Matthew 4:9 “And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”
God has shown Jesus his mountain top and what it will take to get there, but then the devil came with an alternate route!
He told Jesus, why go through the cross to get to your mountain top? Why the stress? Why change your feet to hooves? Why that complicated process? Just bow to me, nobody is here. Nobody will know, they’ll just see you at the top!
Friend, the devil sure has alternatives…To be continued
