Habakkuk 3:19 “The LORD God [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ [feet], and he will make me to walk upon mine high places…”
Habakkuk 3:19 “The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights…”(NLT)
These folks got angry and reported the matter to their father. But guess what? The following day he summoned his father, mother and the same elder brothers to another meeting!
Genesis 37:9 “He had another dream and told this one also to his brothers: “I dreamed another dream–the sun and moon and eleven stars bowed down to me!”
Genesis 37:10 “When he told it to his father and brothers, his father reprimanded him: “What’s with all this dreaming? Am I and your mother and your brothers all supposed to bow down to you?”
He simply added his parents to the group of people that will bow down to him! What a boy! At this point his folks became really mad and jealous of him!
Another issue is that this boy just sleeps, dream, wakes up, eat, play and sits at home while his elder brothers go to the bush to look after the sheep. He was a spoilt little boy, period!
At this junction, God knew the dream He has for Joseph and that the colourful destiny He has for him might be ruined with his negative attitudes. God knew He has a mountain top man in Joseph quite alright but He also knew He has a big problem on His hands!!
If Joseph must become the mountain top man, some “modifications and transformations must be done fast”. Had Joseph become a prime minister with that state of mind, he will not only ruin the mountain top, he will probably ruin other people as well. In fact he won’t last on the mountain top!
This particular Joseph would be so proud, lazy and inconsiderate. God knew this young man must be given strength and the feet of a Hind!
Does that look like a picture of you?
To be continued…
