Habakkuk 3:19 “The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places…”
Habakkuk 3:19 “The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights…”(NLT)
A Hind maybe born at the valley but once the hooves are developed, it naturally climb and start living at the mountain top!
I read that the rear feet of the hind step in precisely the same spot where the front feet have just been. Every motion of the hind is followed through with single-focused consistency, making it the most sure-footed of all mountain animals.
The Hind enjoys climbing and hopping from one mountain top to another with so much joy and excitement. You’ll enjoy watching the Hind perform this feat and even get jealous of it but then that skill and ability didn’t come easy. It came through hard work and sometimes not too pleasant experiences of walking on hard, tough and rough stony grounds.
Now, how does this apply to us?
Paraphrasing our focal scripture based on the Hebrew translation,  it reads thus, “the Lord will transform me or redesign me into a person that can climb and stay in the high places!”, “The Lord will reshape my feet like that of the Hind, so that I can ride upon the high places”
Literally, if you look at your leg now and compare it to the hooves of a deer you will see a lot of differences. You will agree with me that if you’ll need to undergo a complicated surgery to reshape your foot as such, you probably will not agree…guess you’re smiling!
What will be on your mind is the stress, the pain, the shame of having hooves instead of toes, the cost and the time it will take for this to be achieved. In the same vain, this is what happen spiritually before God can transform us into a mountain top personality!
