First point of call-4

1 Timothy 2:1 “The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how…”
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
…From yesterday…We often fall into such traps, suddenly becoming wiser than God, relying more on our self acclaimed expertise. Our several years of experience, our knowledge of the industry and our familiarity with the terrain.
In as much as these facts can guide our decision making, God is still the ultimate, most trusted and ever reliable guide. He will tell you what strategy to use and when. He knows the enemy more than you! He knows the enemy’s strategy and plans against you, this is why you can’t leave Him out. You must consult him first!
Back to Joshua and his men, those folks fail to check up with the throne and guess what?
Joshua 7:4 “So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.”
Joshua 7:5 “And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them [from] before the gate [even] unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.”
The so called little Ai inflicted a most humiliating defeat on them. Never underestimate an enemy! That was something David never did.
David always inquire of the Lord, and God always gave him the required strategy for each battle.
In 1 Chronicles 14:10, David inquired of the Lord when he wanted to go to war and God gave him the starategy to use. In 1 Chronicles 14:14, just four verses after, he needed to go to war against the same enemy, he still inquired from God and was given a new strategy. David always inquired from God first.
For you to triumph always, you must become addicted to calling the throne first! You will never lose out again, in Jesus name.
