Luke 2:48 “And when they saw him, they were amazed and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing”
When Mary and Joseph, couldn’t find him, they became worried and  sorrowful. Guess what Mary said when they finally found him, “Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us?” in order words, why did you treat us like this?
That is the reaction of many when they run into trouble after leaving him in church. They blame God!
God where are you? Why did you allow this to happen? You have failed me! I’m sure you understand what I’m talking about.
The truth however is this, God never left, you did!! How do I know? Hear this:
Luke 2:46 “And it came to pass that after three days they found him in the temple…”
They found Jesus in the temple! They suffered for three days, looking for him in the wrong places but he never left the temple! God is still very much in His word. His word is still as potent as it was and will always be.
All the miracles He once wrought for you can still be repeated. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He’s going nowhere!
Hear this:
Luke 2:44 “…they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.”
They looked for him at the wrong places, among friends and acquaintances! Most times we get busy looking for Him with our doctors, our banks, our rich uncles and friends, some even sought for Him from a herbalist, an oracle, diviners etc.
Beloved, the only authentic place to meet God is and will always be in his word! God will not compromise His standard because of you. Go back to where you left Him! God has not left the bible, open it and hear him speak!
My friend, if you are restless, disturbed or worried in any area of your life, I want you to retrace your step back to Him. Don’t start the blame game, God never left, you are the one that have gone missing!!
