Value-9
Zechariah 11:12 “Then I addressed them: “Pay me what you think I’m worth.” They paid me an insulting sum, counting out thirty silver coins.”
Zechariah 11:13 “GOD told me, “Throw it in the poor box.” This stingy wage was all they thought of me and my work!…” (MSG)
From yesterday…
Luke 24:1 “Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain [others] with them.”
Luke 24:2 “And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.”
Luke 24:4 “And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed…”
When Jesus died, some women went and prepared expensive spices and ointment, and brought it to anoint him but they were shocked to realise he was no longer there! Suddenly, the expensive ointment they brought became useless and guess what? They became perplexed!
You will also become perplexed when you realise something valuable has been taken away from you! The opportunity they had was gone.
Even though they came “very early in the morning”, it was very early on the wrong morning!
They suddenly realise what that lady did was excellent, she anointed the master when it was timely! They wished they had done it earlier too.
These women, as noble as their intention was, violated the principle of timely valuation! They did the right thing at the wrong time!
We need to value people and opportunities before we lose them. Many people in our days go to burial ceremonies or wake-keep to pour encomium and tributes on the dead, the same person they never valued while alive. Hypocrisy of the highest order!
Well, these folks got a rude awakening! The person they thought was dead had risen! He was no longer where they thought he was!
Friend, in the same vein, never underestimate and undervalue people.
To be continued…
