Zechariah 11:12 “Then I addressed them: “Pay me what you think I’m worth.” They paid me an insulting sum, counting out thirty silver coins.”
Zechariah 11:13 “GOD told me, “Throw it in the poor box.” This stingy wage was all they thought of me and my work!…” (MSG)
Don’t wait till you lose people to know their value! Love is in the action not just in words. If you love people genuinely, they know it and if you don’t, they equally know! Action will always speak louder than words!
I have also discovered that the reason why people will not give their life to Christ is just because of a wrong value system. Hear this:
Mark 8:36 “What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you?”
Mark 8:37 “What could you ever trade your soul for?” (MSG)
If you know the real value of your soul you will value what God did by sending His only begotten Son! Your soul cannot be traded for wealth, riches, positions etc, which are what you hustle for everyday. If you know the true value of “you”, then accept the free gift of Christ. That is the value of your soul!
As we bring this series to a close, let me talk about timely valuation in the words of Dag Mills.
Timely Valuation mean we should learn to place proper value on things at the appropriate time. Let’s consider this scenario:
Luke 7:37 “And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that [Jesus] sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,”
Luke 7:38 “And stood at his feet behind [him] weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe [them] with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed [them] with the ointment.”
This woman entered into God’s record book for doing something seemingly insignificant. She poured an expensive oil on Jesus’ feet even though people and some of his disciples saw no sense in it.
To be continued…
