During the time of Isaac, history was repeated, and guess what? the first thing Isaac thought of doing was to rush down to Egypt! Why? Your guess is as good as mine…he learnt a negative solution to his problem from Abraham! How sad?
Friend, that an ungodly solution seems to have worked for somebody you knew never makes it “godly” and it is not a reason why you should do same. If it is ungodly, it is ungodly and must never be embraced no matter how wonderful it looks!
Note carefully, that God had to step in quickly to rescue Isaac and taught him his Own way. Here was the solution God gave him:
Genesis 26:12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.”
Genesis 26:13 “And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:”
God thought him the seed principle and his breakthrough knew no bound!
Genesis 26:14 “For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.”
The way of God gave him a wonderful testimony, that made him become the envy of a country! God’s way is always the best, it yields dividends that is incomparable! Always learn His way and embrace it!
God taught Isaac what is referred to as irrigation agriculture, how do I know?
Famine is mostly caused by draught that is lack of water, when rain doesn’t fall. In such situations what do you do? You simply utilise other sources of water, especially ground water for farming. Hear this:
