Ecclesiastes 1:9 “History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.” (NLT)
Who have you been consulting? The bible says “…they go down to Egypt…instead of looking unto the Holy One of Israel…” That was pathetic! I have seen people out of desperation seek counsel from ungodly sources. The devil, “Egypt” is ever ready to provide an evil alternative to God, this is why as believers we must never yield to his antics.
You see people believeing God for the fruit of the womb and they rush to one river, hill or shrine for assistance instead of waiting on God. God’s way is always the best and never fails. The devil’s alternative might appear faster and wiser but it brings sorrow and disaster in the end.
Hear this:
Isaiah 31:3 “Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.”
If you go by the way of men, God said both “the helper and the helped shall fail together”. You will never fail again in Jesus name, Amen.
Now, let’s see history repeating itself:
Genesis 26:1 “And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.”
Genesis 26:2 “And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:”
Genesis 26:3,4 “Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee;…And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven,”
During the time of Isaac, history was repeated…to be continued
