Self-image-5

Judges 6:14 “And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?”
Judges 6:15 “And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family [is] poor in Manasseh, and I [am] the least in my father’s house.”
Gal. 6:17 “…I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”
You are not ordinary, God, the greatest Artist, has signed you and I. Our self-esteem is not based on what we have done, but in Him, Who made us and the price He paid on us!
The signature of the creator of the heavens and the earth is on you! The Mona Lisa was recently valued at $700 million because the signature of a man was on it, how much do you think you’re worth considering the fact that God personally signed and autographed you?
Will God put his signature on something worthless?
Friend, begin to see yourself from the perspective of God. If you don’t have a proper self-image you will treat yourself with disrespect. You will sin and abuse your body. God didn’t just sign you, He lives in you as well!
If you dont know this, you will never attempt to get anything that you think the real you is not qualified for. I once heard a friend advice her colleague to apply for a senior management position and guess her answer, “it is not people like us they’re looking for!”
I am sure you know somebody like that, probably you…You have on several occasions disqualified yourself without giving it your best shot. It is all a self-image issue and you must be ready to deal with it!
Hear this:
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
Let’s look at these two interesting words from Jeremiah 1:5,  “sanctified” and “ordained”…To be continued
