Instruction-5
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Proverbs 1:8 “My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:”
Proverbs 1:9 “For they [shall be] an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.”
Talking about simplicity, the bible talks about the simplicity that is in Christ, and since Christ is the word, it means the simplicity in the word. Hear this:
2 Corinthians 11:3 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the SIMPLICITY that is in Christ.”
The bible talks about the simplicity that is in Christ not the complexity. Friend, stop making simple things complicated! Just obey!
In John 21:6, Jesus said to Peter and the other disciples, “…Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.”
Peter was a professional fisherman, he probably had been fishing before Jesus started kindergarten but yet himself and the other disciples obeyed Christ’s directive verbatim. I’m sure if it is some of us, we will give Jesus some serious lessons in oceanography! We will tell him about the sea waves and river tides and how they are directly proportional to the thrust and perpendicular positioning of the fishes at that time of the day! Some will even let Jesus know he is a preacher not a fisherman nor an expert at fishery or aquaculture.
Thank God for your science but Beloved, the instructions of God are meant to be obeyed and are simple enough. Remove over analysis and complications from your life and ministry! God is saying cast your net on the right side, quit casting it on the left!
To be continued…
