Instruction-3

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Proverbs 1:8 “My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:”
Proverbs 1:9 “For they [shall be] an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.”
The lack of adherence to instruction stopped Moses, as powerful as he was from entering the promised land! How sad!
Yes, Moses did it his own way and water came out but later that evening God went back and asked him questions.
Friend, what instructions have you been disobeying and thinking it doesn’t matter? Maybe because it seems to be working despite your disobedience. Well, I want you to reconsider your ways and choose the path of obedience.
Every notable miracle in scriptures is traceable to an instruction that was obeyed.
2 Kings 5:10 “And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.”
2 Kings 5:11 “But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.”
Naaman was a powerful and influential man, he was very wealthy too but leprous. He needed healing and the man of God gave him a very simple instruction. He got angry and left without obeying the instruction and of course he remained leprous.
The gist is this, most of the instructions of God are very simple but we have choosen to complicate them. Our mind has been trained by education to follow logic and as long as it doesn’t seem logical to our mind we reject it.
Naaman already has a complicated agenda and had the miracle process worked out for God! He already envisioned what the man of God should do and how he is to do it.
To be continued…
